Ogii Review of: Hades by Alexandra Adornetto

Hades (Halo, #2)Hades by Alexandra Adornetto
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Good. I liked the twist in the plot. The concept of Hades was very nice, unique, never seen or heard of it before. The whole concept of the spirit board was very entertaining and spooky. Everyone has the fear that if they use one of those boards, that it might actually work, so hence, the fear at that moment was increased for the reader and gave a better effect, hence also being a foreshadowing of the bad event that were amount to come. When Bethany is in ‘Hades’, the things she saw and experienced were very disturbing and repulsive, which I guess why it was set that way, to truly give a sense of evil, immoral, vile, hate, and torturous, especially since she is an angel and it goes against everything she believes in. We also get to see Jake Thorn once again, and boy-oh-boy is he as weird as ever. The things he does and rules are just so out there it doesn’t even count as weird just completely bizarre and not in a good way. In the end, it was a good book, but, the ending leaves you wanting more…
